Launching of PVR Service and Strategic Alliance with Stores Selling Flat Screen TVs

Portico Media attends the launch of the DTV and PVR service of KBRO, one of the biggest cable operators in Taiwan. Starting in January, KBRO launches the PVR service with hard drive of 150 GB and Golf HD. We were there to promote the channels already under their DTV service and to network with another link to the crucial success of DTV, the distributors of LCD monitors, namely, the electronic appliance stores. They will be the point of sales in the future for not only the flat screen televisions but also the digital services offered by the cable operators. Slowly but surely, things are linking up.

杰德參加了台灣最大有線電視集團之一–凱擘所舉辦的經銷商大會，並且於會中展現了凱擘的數位電視與個人錄影機(PVR，Personal Video Recorder)的服務功能。從一月起，凱擘即將提供PVR功能服務，伴隨著150GB大的儲存硬碟，以及將美國高畫質高爾夫頻道納入數位HD電視。頻道商在會場中除了順勢推銷已經在凱擘數位電視上有播送的頻道之外，並與販賣HD螢幕的各家經銷商聯誼，因為這些商家是HD數位電視要成功的另一關鍵因素。在凱擘的穿針引線下，未來這些經銷商不但是HD電視機的賣家，更在賣場中提供訂閱數位電視的服務。雖然腳步不快，但可以肯定的是，這樣的連結性是必要的。
