A tornado left April and Sean Saunders orphaned in their youths, and the siblings decided to each pursue their own paths. While the brother Sean decided to seek a quiet life, April became a storm chaser. Now, the estranged siblings seek reconciliation, but, that is, before April discovers signs of an unusual tornado brewing over Seattle. She is torn between making peace with her family and racing against the elements to save the people of Seattle.
